WILMONT — If Justin Saufley had any doubts about receiving enough run support to pick up the victory for Wilmont in an amateur baseball game against the Luverne Redbirds on Tuesday, his teammates extinguished them in the third inning.
The Cardinals scored 10 runs in the frame, setting up an eventual 15-2 victory in seven innings.
Saufley (five innings pitched, one earned run, four strikeouts) picked up the win and Joe Ahrens (two innings, one earned run, four strikeouts) finished the game in relief.
Steven Kramer made a big impact on offense for Wilmont by going 1-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Adam Diekmann was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two walks, Stuart Rogers was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Jay Scheidt was 1-for-1.
The Cardinals (10-2) host Hadley today.

PIPESTONE — Justin Reinsma was just plain nasty on the mound for Hadley in a win against Pipestone.
Reinsma struck out 13 and walked only three to pick up a complete game victory for the Buttermakers.
Sam Schneider (six innings pitched) and Matt Paulson combined on the mound for Pipestone.
Eric Wieneke paced the Hadley attack by going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run, driving in two runs. Paul Counter, Alex Petersen and Max Zwart each contributed two hits and an RBI.
John Schelhaas led the offense for the A’s by going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Doug Mead was 2-for-4 in the game.
The Buttermakers (9-7, 7-6) play at Wilmont today at 7:30 p.m.
