LEGION BASEBALL: Luverne tops Okabena

OKABENA — Luverne’s offense was relentless in a legion baseball game Tuesday against Okabena.

Luverne scored at least three runs in each of the first four innings to earn a five-inning victory.

Luke Henkels (2 1/3 innings, four earned runs) took the loss for Okabena, with Jacob Olson and Alex Olsem pitching in relief.

Alex Meyer (triple, two walks) scored Okabena’s lone run. Sean Haberman also had a triple, Olsem recorded a double and Justin Jass also hit a double.

Okabena (4-9) plays at Marshall on Thursday.
