LEGION BASEBALL: Edgerton earns 10-run victory over Okabena

EDGERTON — The Edgerton Legion baseball team scored nine runs in the first inning of Tuesday’s game en route to a 15-5 victory against Okabena.

EDGERTON — The Edgerton Legion baseball team scored nine runs in the first inning of Tuesday’s game en route to a 15-5 victory against Okabena.

Okabena scored three runs in the fourth and two in the sixth for its five runs.

Edgerton, meanwhile, scored a run in each of the second, third and fifth innings and then put a cap on the victory with a three-run sixth.

Okabena’s Eric Jass had an RBI single, while Alex Meyer, Luke Henkels and Sean Haberman each had a hit.

Okabena (4-11) travels to Slayton on Friday in the first round of the sub-district playoffs.

Edgerton travels to Windom the same night.
