Deluge hits area

WORTHINGTON — Since about 5:30 a.m. this morning, the city of Worthington has received more than 3½ inches of precipitation, and the rain is still falling.

WORTHINGTON — Since about 5:30 a.m. this morning, the city of Worthington has received more than 3½ inches of precipitation, and the rain is still falling.

Some streets around the city are impassable due to flooding, and motorists are urged to take caution.

According to an unofficial report, the city of Luverne had already received 4½ inches as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

People are encouraged to send their rain gauge readings and any photos of flooding to dgnews@dglobe.com.
