Sanford Worthington Medical Center honors its nurses

WORTHINGTON — Sanford Worthington Medical Center recently honored its nurses during a Nurses Week Celebration in which winners of the 2011 Fish Philosophy and Nursing Excellence Awards were announced. The awards were presented by Jennifer Weg, CNO.

WORTHINGTON — Sanford Worthington Medical Center recently honored its nurses during a Nurses Week Celebration in which winners of the 2011 Fish Philosophy and Nursing Excellence Awards were announced. The awards were presented by Jennifer Weg, CNO.

Tiffany Phomsatry, RN, was presented with the Fish Philosophy Award. Criteria for selection includes: Chooses to make today a great day; finds appropriate ways to play, while doing a “seriously good job of patient care”; stays focused and is there when needed by patients, family and team members; and strives to “make the day” for others.

Kaley McNab, RN, was presented with the Nursing Excellence Award. Criteria for that award includes: Clinical excellence; role modeling/ mentoring; teamwork/ collaborative practice; teaching/listening; and kindness/caring.
