Farm accident claims life of Lester teen
INWOOD, Iowa — A northwest Iowa teenager was killed in a farm accident Wednesday, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
INWOOD, Iowa — A northwest Iowa teenager was killed in a farm accident Wednesday, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Seventeen-year-old Jordan Monen of Lester was working on a cattle shed door from inside a payloader bucket when the payloader was accidentally moved forward, crushing Monen between the bucket and the header of the doorway. The pay-loader was being operated by Simon Groeneweg.
The incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1983 240th Street, Inwood.
Monen was transported to an Inwood hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
