Minnesota bicyclist killed in Iowa

BRITT, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 60-year-old Minnesota man who was killed when his bicycle was hit by an SUV near Britt in northern Iowa.

BRITT, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 60-year-old Minnesota man who was killed when his bicycle was hit by an SUV near Britt in northern Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol on Monday stated Randy Nomeland, of Minneapolis, was riding east on U.S. Highway 18 when he was hit by the eastbound SUV. The accident happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday. Troopers said the SUV was located about 10 miles away in Garner.

The accident remains under investigation.
