BIGELOW — Bigelow’s 11th annual Swampy Days is this weekend and features the kind of family fun only a festival can offer.
Kicking off Friday night, the horseshoe tournament will be played in Wyatt Park.
Teams can register at 6 p.m. that evening, but there is a 24-team limit.
Things start flying at 6:30 p.m., and there will be a cash payout to the winners.
During horseshoes, the Booster Club will be serving supper until 7:30 p.m. — which marks the beginning of bingo. Cash and prizes will be awarded to the victors, but everyone wins with pie and ice cream to be served to those playing.
Saturday starts with a bouncy castle for kids at 10 a.m. Also at 10 a.m., the park hosts ladder golf and bean bag toss tournaments.
At 1 p.m., the fourth annual barbeque cookoff will be also be hosted in the park as well.
Food will be available all day Saturday. Concessions will be served from 8 a.m. to midnight.
The Central Plains Truckpullers event will get under way at 2 p.m. in the park.
Rain or shine, the street dance will start at 8 p.m. and last until midnight. The dance will feature the band Sideline and take place at the Bigelow Fire Hall.
