Drowning victim recovered from Lake Minnetonka
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Hennepin County sheriff's deputies say they've recovered the body of a drowning victim from Lake Minnetonka.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Hennepin County sheriff's deputies say they've recovered the body of a drowning victim from Lake Minnetonka.
The victim is a man in his 40s from Minneapolis. He had been missing since last Saturday night when he jumped from a boat into the lake and struggled. His friends were unable to reach him.
Sonar equipment helped authorities find the man's body, which was recovered Wednesday night by the sheriff's department dive team in about 70 feet of water in Lower Lake North.
The man has not been identified.
