WORTHINGTON — Seal coat work on various city streets is tentatively scheduled to begin Wednesday afternoon. Seal coat work will last roughly one hour per street location.
All affected streets other than South Lake Street will be closed to traffic during seal coating. Work can occur any time between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Motorists are asked to not park on the streets, and also relocate any sump pump water discharge from seal coat streets until the project is completed.
Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, the streets listed below should be seal coated on or before Aug. 12.
Castlewood Drive will be sealed first on Wednesday. The work will then generally proceed from the northeast side to the west side of Worthington.
The following are seal coat street locations:
Wednesday intended order of work: Castlewood Drive (near Spring Avenue to the east): Cecilee Street (near Skyline Drive to the west); Third Avenue (13th Street to Okabena Street); Okabena Street (14th Street to First Avenue); James Boulevard (from end concrete to the south); Alley Block 21 (Sixth Avenue to Sixth Avenue).
Thursday intended order of work: Tower Street (11th Avenue to Cynthia Avenue); Donavon Drive (north of Briarwood Drive continuing north and west); Lexington Avenue (Sundown Drive to Thompson Avenue); Moon Circle (West Shore Drive thru cul-de-sac); Sterling Avenue (Sutherland Drive to the north); Sutherland Drive (CSAH 10 to the west dead end); Dayton Drive (CSAH 10 to the west end); South Lake Street (S. Shore Drive to TH 59/60).
