Letter: Red Cross benefit was successful

On behalf of the Southwest Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross, I would like to thank the Fulda Area Credit Union for hosting the recent fundraiser that raised more than $4,000 for the Southwest Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross. The event was very successful thanks to the efforts of their staff and members along with so many community partners.
A special thanks to all the business, groups and individuals who donated silent auction items, rummage sale items, services, products, money and/or time. Thanks to the Nobles County Corn and Soybean Growers and the Nobles County 4-H Interstate Exchange Members for serving up a great lunch. Thanks to all the employees of the Fulda Area Credit Union who donated baked goods and worked so hard to make the event a success. Thanks to the Daily Globe and other local media for promoting the event. And to everyone who came out and supported the event — thank you!
We are very honored to receive these funds and will be using them for local disaster response and emergency communications for our active military members. Thanks again to the Fulda Area Credit Union and everyone who helped make this event a success!
