Man hurt in fire at Biorefining-Bingham Lake
WINDOM — One person was taken to Windom Area Hospital after a fire occurred at the POET Biorefining-Bingham Lake, Friday afternoon.
WINDOM — One person was taken to Windom Area Hospital after a fire occurred at the POET Biorefining-Bingham Lake, Friday afternoon.
At about 2:20 p.m. the fire occurred during an upgrade to the plant.
A contractor who was working on the upgrade was injured before the plant’s deluge system brought the fire under control.
Responding to the scene were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Department, the Windom Ambulance team and the Windom Fire Department.
