WORTHINGTON — The 2012 Law Enforcement Torch Run shirts are now available at the Prairie Justice Center, according to Worthington Police Officer Jacki Dawson.

All the money raised from T-shirt sales goes toward funding Special Olympics Minnesota, but Dawson said the shirts also have another purpose.

“We really want to raise awareness of Special Olympics Minnesota,” she explained.

For the fourth year in a row, the name of the Worthington Police Department is included on the back of the shirt in a list of other entities that have raised $1,000 or more toward Special Olympics.

“We’ve been listed on the shirts every year since 2007,” Dawson said.

Available in sizes adult small through 3x, the shirts can be purchased at the law enforcement center at the Prairie Justice Center.
