WESTBROOK — Chloe Arfsten and Klarissa Larsen combined for 33 kills as Red Rock Central handed Westbrook-Walnut Grove a 3-1 loss in a Red Rock Conference volleyball match Thursday night.
Arfsten led the Falcons with a match-high 18 kills, while Larson had 15 for RRC, which won 25-16, 18-25, 25-23 and 25-16.
Larson was also 16-for-16 serving with three aces.
Katie Larsen added nine kills and was a perfect 19-for-19 serving, while Brooke Rasmussen was 17-for-17 serving with two aces and 12 digs.
Tegan Derickson and Kendra Hagert each had three blocks for RRC, while Alison Kircher charted 26 set assists and 14 digs.
The Falcons (9-5, 5-1) host Southwest Star Concept on Tuesday.
W-WG (11-6, 5-1) was led by Dayna Comnick who was 11-for-11 serving with two aces to go with 14 kills and 14 digs. She also had two blocks.
Paige Erickson was 16-for-17 serving with two aces and seven kills. She added two blocks.
Anne Woelber was 16-for-16 serving with two aces. She had 15 digs and 27 set assists.
Madison Takle was 12-for-15 serving with two aces. She added five kills and three blocks.
The Chargers will be at Southwest Christian on Tuesday night.
SWC 3, ML/B-O 0
EDGERTON — Michaela Zeinstra was a perfect 20-for-20 serving with two aces as well as 10 set assists, leading Southwest Christian to a 25-14, 25-12, 25-12 sweep of Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin.
Emaleigh Vreeman also had 10 set assists for the Eagles, who improve to 14-3-1 overall and 5-1 in the Red Rock Conference.
Amber Pater charted seven digs and a team-high nine kills, while Hanna Bosma had seven kills and two blocks.
Hannah Van Dyke added eight digs for SWC, which hosts Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Tuesday in a key conference matchup.
Laura Romsdahl led the Wolverines in most categories. She had six kills, was 8-for-9 serving with one ace and had three digs for ML/B-O, which falls to 0-5 in the conference.
Rachel Dukes had a team-best nine assists.
The Wolverines will travel to St. James on Monday.
Fulda 3, H-BC 0
FULDA — Brittney Hermeling led Fulda with 10 kills as the Raiders earned a Red Rock Conference victory with a sweep of Hills-Beaver Creek.
Game scores were 25-13, 25-15 and 25-10.
Rachel Cheadle charted eight kills, while Silvia Zanini added seven kills and had a team-best 15 digs for the Raiders (6-8, 3-3).
Courtney Hulstein led the way with 21 set assists while going 14-for-15 serving with six aces and 11 points scored.
Danielle Hermeling was 18-for-18 serving with 13 points and one ace, while Brooke Wenzel added 11 digs for the Raiders, who will travel to Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin on Tuesday.
Meghan Leuthold led H-BC with five kills, while Natalie Leuthold and Haley Van Wyhe each had four kills.
Paige Leuthold charted 10 set assists and was 7-for-7 serving. She also had six digs.
Katlyn Sandbulte was 7-for-8 serving, while Jessica Sandbulte had three digs.
H-BC (3-8, 2-4) will be at Lincoln HI on Monday.
SSC 3, Ellsworth 0
OKABENA — Courtney Place launched some deadly serves and also played well at the net to lead Southwest Star Concept to a 25-18, 25-8, 25-15 against Ellsworth.
Place was 13-for-13 serving for 10 points and notched seven service aces. She also had a team-high eight kills.
Alyssa Hendrickson (11-for-11 serving for eight points, five kills, four solo blocks) and Mandy Henkels (9-for-9 serving for seven points, 18 set assists) also had good days at the service line for the Quasars.
Autumn Hinkeldey had seven kills for SSC, Maddie Rasche had a team-high 16 digs and Rachel Mathias added four solo blocks.
The Panthers were led by Emily Timmer, who was 8-for-8 serving for four points to go along with four kills and 17 digs. Abby Drenth was 10-for-11 serving for six points and had three kills, Bridget Kramer had 11 set assists and one block and Alexa Huisman also had one block.
Ellsworth (4-6, 3-3) will play in the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton tournament this weekend. The Quasars (13-6, 6-0) will play in the Blue Earth tournament this weekend.
Adrian 3, RL-B 0
ADRIAN — Adrian put on a good performance during its Homecoming celebration with a 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 victory against Round Lake-Brewster.
The Dragons received a 17-for-17 serving performance from Nichole Loosbrock, who also had 11 service points and 18 set assists. Sydnee Springman (11 kills, two blocks, six digs) was 13-for-14 serving for nine points, Courtney Vaske had seven kills and six digs, Rachel Kontz had seven set assists, Taylor Voss had six digs and Nina Weidert contributed five kills.
The Raiders had a team-high 27 digs from Sonja Peters and also received top contributions from Zoe Baerenwald (10-for-11 serving with one ace, 14 set assists), Sarah Baumgard (9-for-12 serving with four aces, seven kills) and Kailey Wendland (seven kills, 11 digs).
Adrian (5-7, 1-5) will host Jackson County Central on Monday. R-LB (2-7, 0-6) will play in the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton tournament this weekend.
MCC 3, Edgerton 0
EDGERTON — Makenzie Giese had 11 kills and three blocks to lead Murray County Central in a 25-23, 25-21, 25-9 victory against Edgerton.
The Rebels (6-3, 4-2) also received seven kills and four service aces from Kristi Bose, 17 set assists from Brooklyn Schmitz and six service aces from Ashley Woldt.
Lindsey Drooger led the Flying Dutchmen (3-10, 1-5) at the net with seven kills and two ace blocks. Jessica Menning had 10 set assists and two ace blocks, Tara DeKam had four kills, Sarah Post had 10 digs and Ciara Everett added nine digs.
MCC will host Worthington on Monday. Edgerton will play in the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton tournament this weekend.
PA 3, Luverne 0
PIPESTONE — Amanda Haupert was 22-for-22 serving with two aces to go with 19 digs as the Pipestone Area Arrows swept rival Luverne in a Southwest Conference volleyball match Thursday night.
Game scores were 25-21, 30-28 and 25-22.
Cassie Evans was 10-for-11 serving with two aces for the Arrows, who improve to 4-14 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Maggie Perkins had a match-high 33 set assists, while Mikayla Enger added 11 digs.
Taylor Kruisselbrink charted 12 kills and Megan Remund had eight to lead the Arrow offensive attack.
Luverne was led by Taylor Stratton, who had eight kills and five blocks. Chelsea Curtis had three kills and was 12-for-14 serving. She also had 11 digs.
Ellen Dahl charted a team-best 17 digs. She was also 8-for-9 serving with one ace.
Jessica Vande Hoef had 14 digs, while Cheyenne Hemme was 11-for-12 serving and had seven set assists.
The Cardinals host West Central (S.D.) on Tuesday.
