I dispute the claim that misinformation was spread throughout Jackson County because the Jackson County commissioners didn’t respond to a mediation offer from the Board of Soil and Water Resources. Exactly what misinformation was she referring to? Is it because the public says it doesn’t want a tax increase while HLWD Administrator Jan Voit calls it a fee? The public is not that gullible.
Call it a fee, charge, contribution, donation, whatever you like — the taxpaying public isn’t willing to pay it. In closing, I would like to commend Jackson County commissioners for standing up for their constituency.
