Obituary: Audrey DeGroot

Audrey I. DeGroot, age 85, of Jasper, Alabama, formerly of Worthington, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama.

Audrey I. DeGroot, age 85, of Jasper, Alabama, formerly of Worthington, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama.

She is survived by her son, Donald DeGroot, Jasper, Alabama; 2 grandchildren, Shannon DeGroot and Kristie MacKay, 5 great grandchildren, Keeshia DeGroot, Kaci Blackwell, Austin DeGroot, Michael MacKay and Ashley MacKay, 1 great great granddaughter, Kaclynn Davis; a sister also survives, Loretta Maxwell, Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dorsey Rheinhart, her husband Fred DeGroot, 2 sons, Robert J. DeGroot and Bruce J. DeGroot, and a daughter, Roxine Setterfield.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington and also on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Trenton, Dennis, Jeff, Greg and Steve DeGroot and Mick Eggers.
