E/E’s Menning earns 1st team all-state honors

WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota Associated Press has released their 2011 All-State Football team. Edgerton/Ellsworth senior Johnny Menning was the lone first team all-state choice among area teams, making the team on the defensive line.

Honorable mentions went to Edgerton/Ellsworth’s junior quarterback Isaac Heard and senior wide receiver Casey Schilling. Schilling was also an honorable mention selection as a punter. Senior wide receiver Kyle Kilgore, of Adrian, earned an honorable mention, as did Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin’s senior defensive lineman Jordan Kirk and Jackson County Central’s senior linebacker Cooper Moore.
