Adrian, Brewster to host holiday celebrations

ADRIAN — The Adrian Blue/Gold PTO will host a holiday event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Adrian Elementary School.

Gifts Galore will feature many cash and carry gifts by more than 30 vendors, including jewelry, stamping, stitchery, candles, books, totes, food and drink items and others.

Santa will make an appearance from 10 a.m. to noon with cookies and juice, and the 4-H Interstate Exchange group will serve homebaked goodies and hot lunch.

Also on Saturday, the Brewster Community Club will host its annual Old-Fashioned Christmas from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Brewster Legion.

Chili and chicken noodle soup will be served from 11 a.m. to noon, with an appearance by Santa, singing and drawings for door prizes for both children and adults from noon to 1 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring a dozen cookies or bars to share, and there will be a free-will collection at the door to help cover the cost of the event.

Judging for the holiday home lighting contest in Brewster will be Friday night, with the awards to be presented on Saturday.

Brewster debuted new holiday lighting this year, purchased with profits from the last three Brewster Fun Days events.
