Luverne earns win

LUVERNE — Luverne’s gymnastics’ team earned a 112.625-97.625 win over West Central Tuesday.

Madi Schandelmeir (6.850) finished first on the bars, while Melanie VanMeeteren (6.750) finished in second.

Josey Kockelman-Radtke (8.4) finished first on the vault.

On the floor, Luverne’s Courtney Siebenahler (7.35) finished first overall. Schandelmeir (7.3) finished second.

Smedsrud was the top finisher for Luverne on the beam (7.1), finishing in second.

Schandelmeir (28.650) and VanMeeteren (27.35) finished second and third, respectively, for all-around gymnast.

Luverne travels to St. James Saturday.
