PREP GYMNASTICS: JCC gymnastics outduels Luverne 138-118.228

LUVERNE — Sydnee Donnelli claimed an all-around victory Friday night in Southwest Conference gymnastics with a win on the vault, second-place finishes on the bars and floor events and a third-place finish on the beam to lead the Jackson County Central Huskies to a team win of 138-118.225 over the Luverne Cardinals Friday night.

LUVERNE — Sydnee Donnelli claimed an all-around victory Friday night in Southwest Conference gymnastics with a win on the vault, second-place finishes on the bars and floor events and a third-place finish on the beam to lead the Jackson County Central Huskies to a team win of 138-118.225 over the Luverne Cardinals Friday night.

Donnelli earned 35.2 points to win the all-around competion with a 9.2 on the vault, an 8.4 on the bars, a 9.175 on the floor and an 8.425 on the beam.

Following Donnelli in the all-round standings were Huskies’ teammates Brandi Sether-Hassing (34.8), Morgan Halverson (33.825) and Adriane Rentschler (33.325).

Josey Kockelman-Radtke claimed second place on the vault for Luverne with a score of 8.725 followed by Halverson for the Huskies in third with an 8.7 and Autumn Altman in fourth for the Cardinals with an 8.65.

Sether-Hassing won the bars with a score of 8.6 followed by Donnelli in second, Hailey Timko of JCC in third with a 7.725 and Luverne’s Melanie Van Meeteren in fourth with 7.4 points.

Rentschler won the beams with 9.05 points followed by Halverson with an 8.9, Donnelli’s 8.425 and Sether-Hassing with an 8.4.

Sether-Hassing claimed victroy in the floor event with a 9.225 while Halverson scored in third place with an 8.9 and Michaela Vancura secured fourth with an 8.85.

Luverne hosts Pipestone Area Friday, while JCC travels to Marshall Monday.
