JACKSON — The Worthington gymnastics team placed sixth out of 18 teams at the Jackson County Central Sweetheart Invitational Saturday.
The team finished with 129.45 points.
Tara Svalland finished second in the all-around with an overall score of 35.35. She finished second on the floor routine with a 9.2 and third on vault with a 9.475.
“It was a great meet and we were up against a number of great teams,” WHS head coach Joni Reitmeier said. “The gymnasts all did great and gained lots of individual experience. Our score may not reflect that well, but it was a good, good meet for us. I am very proud of how the girls performed.”
The Trojans’ next meet is tonight against St. James. They return home Thursday to compete against Luverne.
