The mob that owns these sports teams always strives to secure as much public taxpayer funding for their stadiums as they can.
The metro lawmakers avoid tying themselves to bills such as a new downtown casino or taxpayer funding. Consequently, an out-state dummy lawmaker is sought as an author for the downtown casino bill, and Doug Magnus was dumb enough to do it.
You put a spotlight on Magnus that he rightly deserved. I’m confident you hit an exposed nerve that readers appreciated.
