Obituary: Steven Lade

Steven Joseph “Beaver” Lade, 51, was born on May 5, 1960, in Lakefield, MN, the son of Robert Lade and Frances (Cihak) Hall. He grew up and graduated from Lakefield High School. Steven married Serina in 1988 and they had two children. Steven obtained his boilers license in 1989 and worked in a hospital and nursing home. He studied Taekwondo. He also worked at a printing company in Luverne, MN, where he designed shirt logos. Steven most recently worked at Bedford in Worthington. He enjoyed spending time on the family farm, camping, fishing, hunting, playing pool, woodworking, and taking grandsons into the garden. Steven loved gardening and spending time with family, grandchildren, and friends. Steven died on Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Sanford Medical Center in Worthington, MN.

Steven is survived by daughters, Kari Lade (Ben) and children, Dalton, Trexton, and Jazzlyn of Round Lake, MN, Lindsey Lade (Jon) of Round Lake, MN, and MacKenzie, point five child of Ocheyedan, IA; mother, Frances Hall of Round Lake, MN; special friend, Rachel Flora of Round Lake, MN; sisters, Becky Lade of Round Lake, MN, Kay (Ron) Wedeking of Lakefield, MN, Norine (Gary) Murphy of Round Lake, MN, and Toni Walters of Brewster, MN; special cousin, Scott Cihak of Lake Crystal, MN, along with aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, uncles, Bill and Butch, aunt, Marty Hertz, and stepfather, Laverne Hall.

A time with family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN.
