Letter: Will Reform 2.0 really create jobs?

Today I received an email newsletter from my state legislator, Joe Schomacker, in which he speaks in glowing terms of Reform 2.0.
First of all, what is this and from whence does it come? It was supposed to have been developed in listening sessions with Minnesotans.
I would like to meet the Minnesotan who, while discussing with his Republican legislators how to make more jobs, suggested that they “reform the prevailing wages.” I can imagine that some employers may want to reduce expenses in that way, but I cannot believe that any wage earner is willing to take a pay cut. Get real.
The rest of Reform 2.0 looks like a page right out of the Republican playbook. None of it seemed aimed at jobs in any way that will really make jobs. I am sure that this was not developed by listening to any of the people I talk to every day.
