Edgerton man killed in Thursday’s crash on MN 91

LISMORE — The details of Thursday’s fatal crash near Lismore and the names of the victims were released Friday by the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP).
Killed in the crash was Curtis Dean Jensen, 51, of Edgerton.
The crash, a head-on collision, took place shortly before 2 p.m. on Minnesota 91 just south of Lismore.
According to the MSP report, Jensen was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus northbound on Minnesota 91 when Kirk Evan Bleyenburg, 26, also of Edgerton, approached southbound in the northbound lane. The 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Bleyenburg, struck the Taurus of Jensen.
Jensen was declared dead at the scene. Bleyenburg was transported to Sanford Hospital in Luverne with injuries.
The MSP and Nobles County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to the crash at 1:47 p.m., along with the Adrian Ambulance and Lismore Rescue. An air ambulance was dispatched, as was the Adrian Fire Department.
