PREP GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: SWC knocks off EHS 62-49

EDGERTON — Hannah Van Dyke scored a career-high 17 points, while hauling in nine rebounds and dishing out three assists to lead Southwest Christian’s girls’ basketball team over Red Rock Conference foe Edgerton 62-49 Monday night, closing out the regular season for both teams.

EDGERTON — Hannah Van Dyke scored a career-high 17 points, while hauling in nine rebounds and dishing out three assists to lead Southwest Christian’s girls’ basketball team over Red Rock Conference foe Edgerton 62-49 Monday night, closing out the regular season for both teams.

Megan DeRuyter added 17 points and three steals, Amber Pater had 13 points and Deidra Vander Woude had 10 rebounds to help pace SWC (17-5, 13-3).

Lindsey Drooger had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Jessica Menning had 12 points and five steals to lead Edgerton (14-9, 10-7).

Edgerton will take on Wabasso Saturday and SWC will take on the winner of Thursday’s game between Hills-Beaver Creek and Ellsworth Saturday at Worthington in the Section 3A tournament.

Adrian 51, H-BC 45

HILLS — Austyn Thier had 14 points, while Sydne Springman (seven rebounds) and Elissa Thier each had 13 points and Rachel Kontz had seven rebounds to lead Adrian’s girls’ basketball team over Hills-Beaver Creek Monday.

H-BC (2-21) was led by Meghan Leuthold’s 16 points and eight rebounds and Paige Leuthold’s 14 points.

Adrian (18-6) will take on Murray County Central Saturday at Worthington and H-BC will travel to Ellsworth Thursday as part of the Section 3A tournament.

BUTTERFIELD — Red Rock Central’s girls’ basketball team got a win over Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin Monday behind double-doubles from Cassie Erickson (13 points, 11 rebounds) and Klarissa Larsen (15 points, 14 rebounds, six blocks).

RRC (6-18, 5-11) will host Madelia in the opening round of the Section 2A tournament Thursday.
