PREP GIRLS' BASKETBALL: W-WG beats SSC

WESTBROOK — The Westbrook-Walnut Grove girls’ basketball team defeated Southwest Star Concept 55-43 in its game Tuesday night.

The Chargers were led by Paige Erickson’s 22 points, seven rebounsds, six steals, three assists and two blocks. Anne Woelber added a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for W-WG (12-10).

The Quasars (4-19) were led by Courtney Place’s 11 points.

W-WG plays at home on Thursday against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in the first round of the Section 3A tournament.

SSC travels to Martin Luther Tuesday to play in the Section 2A tournament.
