WHS BOYS' HOCKEY: WHS falls to NU 11-1

NEW ULM — The Worthington boys’ hockey season came to an end Thursday night, as the Trojans fell to top-seeded New Ulm 11-1 at the New Ulm Civic Center in the second round of the Section 3A tournament. Worthington finished the season 5-17-1.

NEW ULM — The Worthington boys’ hockey season came to an end Thursday night, as the Trojans fell to top-seeded New Ulm 11-1 at the New Ulm Civic Center in the second round of the Section 3A tournament.

Worthington finished the season 5-17-1.

New Ulm (15-11) will take on No. 4 seed Hutchinson (10-16) Saturday at noon at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.

LHS 8, Litchfield 1

LUVERNE — Luverne’s boys’ hockey team cruised through its first playoff game in Section 3A Thursday night.

The Cardinals (20-3-2) will take on No. 2 seed Marshall (16-7-1) in the section semifinals at 2:30 p.m. at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter Saturday.
