LAMBERTON — Red Rock Central’s boys’ basketball team was down 36-30 with just under 16 minutes remaining in the first round playoff game in the South Sub-Section of Section 3A Thursday, but the Falcons closed the game on a 26-5 run to knock off Westbrook-Walnut Grove.
Jeff DeCock had 19 points and Henry Rotgotzke added 15 points, eight rebounds and five blocks to lead RRC (11-14).
W-WG (4-20) was led by John Elzenga (14 points, eigth rebounds), Reed Bakken (seven points) and Alex Knutson (seven points).
RRC will take on Fulda Saturday in Worthington.

HILLS — Jordan Larson had 13 points, Dylan Gehrke had 13 points and eight rebounds and Seth Nuffer had 11 points and seven rebounds to lead Hills-Beaver Creek’s boys’ basketball team Thursday in the first round of the playoffs in the South Sub-Section of Section 3A.
H-BC (11-14) will take on top-seeded Southwest Christian Saturday in Worthington.
