WORTHINGTON — The Red Rock Conference announced its all-conference boys’ basketball team for the 2011-12 season. Southwest Christian led the way with four representatives, while seven other conference teams had two players each.
Members of the first-team all-conference squad include Southwest Christian’s Zach Huisken, Andrew Top, Keeran Sampson and Dominic Nibbelink; Fulda’s Matt Appel and Aaron Tiesler; Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin’s Beau Herrig and Carter Kirk; Ellsworth’s Casey Schilling and Dalton Huisman; Murray County Central’s Chris Halbur and Nate Wieneke; Southwest Star Concept’s Jameson Collin and Andrew Kramer; Adrian’s Kyle Kilgore; Hills-Beaver Creek’s Seth Nuffer and Dylan Gehrke; Red Rock Central’s Jeff DeCock and Henry Rogotzke; Westbrook-Walnut Grove’s Jacob Comnick and Round Lake-Brewster’s Jake Walker.
Numerous athletes were named to the honorable mention all-conference squad as well. Those players include SWC junior Klint Knutson; Fulda’s Mic Holinka; ML/B-O’s Andrew Hempeck; Ellsworth’s Nick Nolte and Logan Ahlers; MCC’s Trent Carlson; Adrian’s Kody Henning and Brandon Weidert; H-BC’s Jordan Larson; RRC’s Daniel Maras; W-WG’s Taylor Lindaman and Edgerton’s Wade Gunnink.
