PREP BASEBALL: Wildcats lose two at MCW tourney

SHERBURN — Southwestern United’s baseball team dropped two at the Martin County West tournament.

The Wildcats fell to Fairmont 15-2 and Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin 5-1 Saturday.

In Game 1 versus Fairmont, Justin Jass was 1-for-2 with a run, Luke Henkels was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Mark Ferguson was 1-for-3 to lead the Wildcats (0-5).

In Game 2, Jass was 1-for-4 with a run scored, Austin Liepold had an RBI, Ferguson was 2-for-3, Brady Meyer was 1-for-3 and was 1-for-2 to lead Southwestern United.

SWU will travel to Adrian Tuesday.
