WABASSO — Southwestern United dropped three games Saturday. The Wildcats fell to Benilde-St. Margaret 14-4, Murray County Central 23-2 and Renville County West 7-6.
“Although we lost, the team ended on a good note,” SWU coach Cindy Owen said. “The girls could have just folded after the second game to MCC, but they didn’t.”
Sonja Peters had three hits, including a double, two RBIs and scored two runs to lead SWU (0-6). Jordin Elness also had a double for the Wildcats.
For MCC, Kristi Bose threw a complete game to get the win, while Kendra Blomgren had three runs and a double to lead the Rebels.
SWU will play at Russell-Tyler-Ruthton today.
