MW BASEBALL: Bluejays fall 13-2 and 16-0 in doubleheader against St. Cloud Tech

ST. CLOUD — Minnesota West’s baseball team dropped two games versus St. Cloud Tech Saturday. The Bluejays dropped the division openers 13-2 and 16-0.

ST. CLOUD — Minnesota West’s baseball team dropped two games versus St. Cloud Tech Saturday. The Bluejays dropped the division openers 13-2 and 16-0.

“We ran into a buzzsaw,” MW coach Jeff Linder said. “Their guys beat the ball around on us. They just have a great hitting team.

“We are a good team. We just need to fix some stuff. The guys still have a hop in their step and I’m proud of them for it.”

St. Cloud Tech pounded out 25 hits in the doubleheader. With the losses, the Bluejays fell to 1-14 overall and 0-2 in division play.

Eric Wieneke was 3-for-5, Stuart Rogers was 3-for-5 with an RBI and Shane Schoborg was 1-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Bluejays in the doubleheader.

Minnesota West is back in action Tuesday on the road versus Central Lakes.
