I want to start out this letter to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my candidacy to seek the bid of the DFL endorsement for the seat held by Rep. Rod Hamilton. Your support has been so important to me and has frankly touched me.
That being said, I would like to announce that I am dropping out in seeking the DFL endorsement for the House 22B seat. I have been pondering this for some time now, and I feel that perhaps I should focus my thoughts and attention elsewhere. I am sure the DFL will find a suitable candidate that I will look forward to supporting.
However, do not think I am going away. I have been within the last couple of months about all the negative publicity that the administration of Nobles County has had. I will not place the blame on any certain person or anything like that, but I do feel that it is time for a change. That is why I intend to run for the seat being vacated by Commissioner Vern Leistico.
I feel it would be a good thing for the board of commissioners to have a fresh face on the board who has eager ideas about how we can improve this county and preserve what makes this county great. I look forward to hearing about your ideas of what we can do to make Nobles County a better place, and I would appreciate your support.
