Minnesota West hosts student art reception

The Worthington campus of Minnesota West Community and Technical College hosted a student art reception Wednesday at the Center for the Performing and Visual Arts. Shown is juror Joel McKinney giving a presentation on the first-place winning art (center) of Jose Dominguez, who was recognized for an untitled acryclic and collage work. Other students recognized were: Habtamu Gebremariam (ink resist oil pastel), second place; Brenda Paulzine (acrylic and collage), third place for “Pain”: Rayna Mangel, Emily Peterson, Rose Mejia Calderon, Kuftu Koji and Kayla Leckland, merit awards; and Darcy Poppema, Matthew Bah, Mercedes Lovan, Tyler Koskovich, Samm Bertrand, Amente Berhanu and Anson Mareus, honorable mention.
