PREP SOFTBALL: AHS falls 6-2

ELLSWORTH — The Adrian softball team fell to 1-6 on the season after dropping Friday afternoon’s game to Minneota 6-2.

Rachel Kontz pitched all seven innings for the Dragons, giving up six earned runs on 12 hits, striking out 10, walking two and throwing three wild pitches.

Adrian was led by Sam Croat, who was 3-for-3 with an RBI. Heidi Nolte went 2-for-4, Autumn Engelkes went 2-for-4 and Nina Weidert had the team’s other RBI.

The Dragons’ next game is Tuesday against Edgerton/Southwest Christian.
