PREP BOYS' AND GIRLS' GOLF: Ellefson leads Hills-Beaver Creek over Red Rock Central 175-192

LARCHWOOD, Iowa — Hills-Beaver Creek’s boys’ golf team knocked off Red Rock Central 175-192 at Meadow Acres Golf Course Monday.

Cody Ellefson was the medalist, shooting a 42 to lead H-BC. Wyatt Ellefson shot a 43 and Caleb Schroer and Austin Rauk each scored 45s to help lead the Patriots.

RRC was led by Jordan Smith’s 45. Adam Knorr chipped in a 48, Brandon Sohre scored a 49 and Maison Miller added a 50 for RRC.

H-BC will host Southwest Christian today.

Fulda boys knock off Mountain Lake Christian

MOUNTAIN LAKE — Fulda shot a 199, defeating Mountain Lake Christian by default Monday in boys’ golf action.

Mitch Baumhoefner earned medalist honors with a 45, while Todd Peterson (46), Mic Holinka (52), Aaron Tiesler (56) and Joey Voss (56) all chipped in for the Raiders.

Fulda will host Windom today.

Adrian golf teams win against SWC, RL-B

EDGERTON — The Adrian girls’ golf team defeated Southwest Christian, while the Adrian boys’ golf team won a triangular against SWC and Round Lake-Brewster Monday afternoon.

On the girls’ side, Adrian won with a score of 217 over an incomplete SWC team.

SWC’s Emaleigh Vreeman was the low medalist, shooting a 38 on the day—the lowest score on either the boys’ or girls’ side.

Jen Schmidt shot a 55 and Carly Hulstein shot a 58 for the Eagles.

Making up Adrian’s score of 217; Marissa Veld shot a 45, Katie Wieneke shot a 55, MacKenzie Wagner shot a 58, Jada Elias shot a 59 and Samantha Boyle shot a 65.

On the boys’ side, Adrian won the triangular with a score of 186, SWC finished with a 197 and RL-B finished with a 225.

SWC’s Monte DeKam and Adrian’s Ben Henning were the medalists, shooting 41s on the day.

Making up Adrians score of 186; Henning shot a 41, Ryan Elias shot a 47, Justin Elias shot a 48, Collin Kemper shot a 50, Tommy McCarthy shot a 55 and Troy Christians shot a 58.

Making up SWC’s score of 197; DeKam shot a 41, Klint Knutson, Trey Van Essen and Jay DeBoer all shot 52s, Jacob Kreun shot a 57 and Tadd Van’t Hoff shot a 63.

And making up RL-B’s score of 225; Kyle Wendland shot a 45, Colin Meinders shot a 51, LoganEllenbecker shot a 59 and Lee Marki shot a 70.

Adrian’s next outing is Friday against Red Rock Central, SWCtakes on Hills-Beaver Creek today and RL-B competes against Murray County Central today.
