BRANDON, S.D — The Luverne boys’ tennis team picked up its first loss of the season in a 9-0 fall to Brandon Valley.
The Cardinals are now 7-1 on the season.
“Brandon Valley was really good at being patient and hitting one more shot to really get into good position and finish off the point with an easy winner,” Luverne coach Greg Antoine said. “We need to learn from this match that you can’t hit every shot like it is your last chance to win.”
Luverne plays three home matches in a row on today, Wednesday and Thursday against Madison (S.D.), O’Gorman and Redwood Valley, respectively.
