PREP TRACK AND FIELD: Rebel girls take second and boys take third in home track invite

SLAYTON — The Redwood Valley boys’ and girls’ track teams won the Rebel Relays Tuesday.

SLAYTON — The Redwood Valley boys’ and girls’ track teams won the Rebel Relays Tuesday.

On the boys’ side; Murray County Central finished third (102), Jackson County Central finished fourth (60), Hills-Beaver Creek finished fifth (40.5), Pipestone Area finished sixth (37), Windom finished seventh (30), Southwest Christian finished eighth (27) and Adrian finished tenth (14).

MCC’s Jack Thony won the 100 meters (11.24), JCC’s Jason Vongsavanh won the 400 meters (52.35), SWC’s Austin LaFollette won the 300 meter hurdles (42.36), H-BC’s Dalton Bass, Jordan Larson, Dirk Thone and Tate Bork won the 4x100 relay (45.65), H-BC’s Bass, Larson, Thone and Bork won the 4x200 relay (1:35.05), MCC’s Alex Solheim, Tyler Scotting, Max Whitehead and Thony won the 4x400 relay (3:37.46), MCC’s Whitehead, Scotting, Thony and Solheim won the sprint medley (3:55.28), MCC’s Tanner Nepp won the shot put (47 feet, 07.25 inches), MCC’s Nepp won the discus (136 feet) and MCC’s Thony won the long jump (19 feet, 06.5 inches).

On the girls’ side; MCC finished second (77), Adrian finished third (69), Windom finished fourth (68), H-BC finished fifth (62), JCC finished sixth (60), SWC finishd eighth (42) and Pipestone Area finished tenth (22).

JCC’s Sydnee Donnelli won the 100 meters (13.13), Adrian’s Austyn Thier won the 400 meters (1:02.45), Adrian’s Thier won the 800 meters (2:26.80), MCC’s Paris Thomas won the 100 meter hurdles (18.00), SWC’s Hannah Van Dyke won the 300 meter hurdles (50.54), H-BC’s Natalie Leuthold, Paige Leuthold, Haley VanWyhe and Siera Wilgenburg won the 4x100 relay (54.22), H-BC’s Natalie Leuthold, Paige Leuthold, Kayla Thone and Meghan Leuthold won the 4x200 relay (1:55.48), H-BC’s Jenna Wilgenburg, Thone, VanWyhe and Siera Wilgenburg won the 4x400 relay (4:14.59), JCC’s Christina Henning, Annika Lilleberg, Jade Holthe and Faith Hansen won the 4x800 relay (10:45.45), MCC’s Kara Homandberg, Hannah Schmidt, Sierra Van Iperen and Crystal Van Iperen won the sprint medley (4:30.68), Windom’s Hannah Steele won the shot put (41 feet, 02 inches), Windom’s Steele won the discus (118 feet, 02 inches) and Windom’s Megan Muller won the pole vault (7 feet, 6 inches).
