HERON LAKE — Mark Ferguson was 2-for-3, including a three-run double for Southwestern United, but Martin Luther-Granada Huntley East Chain-Truman was too much in a 9-5 victory in a non-conference baseball game Monday night.
Justin Jass added an RBI single for the Wildcats (0-10), who host Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove today.

MOUNTAIN LAKE — Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but the late rally fell just short in a two-run loss.
Matt Willaby ked the Wolverines with two doubles and an RBI.
Blake Spinks suffered the loss for ML/B-O. He allowed two earned runs in six innings while striking out five and walking two.
ML/B-O will play Edgerton/Southwest Christian today in Pipestone.

TRACY — Taylor Hoffbeck and Phil Madsen were locked in a tight pitcher’s duel.
But in the end, Kody Kirsh drove in Reed Salmon for the game-winning run, sending Tracy-Milroy-Balaton to the victory.
Hoffbeck earned the win for the Panthers (6-4, 3-2). He allowed no runs on four hits while walking three and striking out seven in seven innings.
Madsen, meanwhile, allowed one run on three hits while walking one and striking out seven.
T-M-B will host Wabasso today.

PIPESTONE — In two close games, Jackson County Central earned a sweep against Pipestone Area in a Southwest Conference doubleheader.
The first game took eight innings to decide a winner.
But Carsen Nyberg hit an RBI single in the eighth inning as the Huskies claimed a 4-3 victory.
Brett Larson threw six innings for JCC and struck out seven. Dustin Pronk earned the victory on the hill. He finished the final two innings and recorded four strikeouts.
Pronk was also 2-for-4 in the game with two RBIs.
For the Arrows, Austin Evans threw all eight innings and struck out nine.
Brady Bos was 3-for-4 with two doubles, while Eric Buffington was 1-for-4 and drove in two runs.
In Game 2, Pronk allowed no runs on two hits and struck out 11 on the hill for JCC to earn the victory.
Larson had a two-run double with two outs in the fourth inning, which proved to be the game-deciding hit.
The Arrows (4-6, 1-4) are at Worthington today, while JCC (6-2, 4-1) hosts Luverne on Thursday.
