PREP SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Wildcats earn 11-run victory

OKABENA — Southwestern United’s softball team picked up its second win of the season with a 12-1 decision against Martin Luther-Granada Huntley East Chain-Truman Monday behind four RBIs from Ida Rogers-Ferguson, along with 10 strikeouts on the mound, two RBIs from Maddie Rasche and an RBI from Kassaundra Rossow.

OKABENA — Southwestern United’s softball team picked up its second win of the season with a 12-1 decision against Martin Luther-Granada Huntley East Chain-Truman Monday behind four RBIs from Ida Rogers-Ferguson, along with 10 strikeouts on the mound, two RBIs from Maddie Rasche and an RBI from Kassaundra Rossow.

SWU (2-10) will be on the road today versus Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove.

PIPESTONE — Tasia Woelber struck out 21 batters and walked just two to help lead Pipestone Area (8-0, 6-0) to a SWC conference sweep of a doubleheader Monday over Windom in softball action.

Tiffany Woelber had four RBIs in Game 1 and was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs in Game 2. Tasia Woelber was 2-for-3 with an RBI in Game 1, while Brittany Evans (2-for-3) and Paige Petersen (2-for-4) each had an RBI in Game 2 to help pace the Arrows.

PA will host Redwood Valley Thursday.
