PREP BOYS' AND GIRLS' GOLF: Kramer leads Fulda to second place at Minneota invite

MINNEOTA — Fulda’s girls’ golf team took second at the 10-team, 18-hole Minneota Golf Invitational Tuesday behind Lincoln H I (390 points) with a 390.

Tessa Kramer scored the lowest of the 51 golfers, shooting an 89 for Fulda, while Sarah Strenge finished 10th with a 98, Caitlin Strenge finished 17th with a 102 and Katie Reynolds finished 18th with a 103.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove (456) took eighth behind Abby Herding’s 95, which was good enough for sixth place, Paige Erickson’s 105, Avoree Bakken’s 113 and Deziree Koenig’s 143.

Fulda will compete next at conference Tuesday.

Windom 158, RL-B 208

WORTHINGTON — Windom’s boys’ golf team knocked off Round Lake-Brewster Tuesday behind Christian Schuck’s 38 and 40s from Adam Eisenmenger, Thomas Elness and Austen Smesrud.

Kyle Wendland shot a 44, Logan Ellenbecker shot a 47, Colin Meinders shot a 56 and Lee Marki shot a 71 for R-LB.

LHS 167, JCC 173

LUVERNE — Brandon Klein led the way for Luverne’s boys’ golf team, shooting a 40, while Dylan Skattum added a 42, Matthew Sterrett chipped in a 43 and Mark Spreiter added a 42 of his own for the Cardinals Tuesday.

Kyle Edlin shot a 42 to lead Jackson County Central, while John Marker shot a 43 and Jack Ringkob and Joe Brinkman eached added 44s for the Huskies.

SANBORN — Alison Kircher led all golfers with a 46, Shelby Evans shot a 53, Makayla Meier added a 57 and Kylie Redenius shot a 63 for Red Rock Central’s girls’ golf team in the meet versus Sleepy Eye Saint Mary’s Tuesday.

SANBORN — Jordan Smith shot a 47, Brandon Sohre and Adam Knorr added 49s and Zach Valentin shot a 50, but it was not enough for Red Rock Central’s boys’ golf team in the meet versus Sleep Eye Saint Mary’s Tuesday.
