PREP GOLF: Eagles split golf meet with Marshall

MARSHALL — Windom’s golf team split with Marshall Friday, as the girls defeated Marshall 178-192 and the Eagle boys fell 149-171.

MARSHALL — Windom’s golf team split with Marshall Friday, as the girls defeated Marshall 178-192 and the Eagle boys fell 149-171.

Adam Eisenmenger led the way for the Eagles, shooting a 39 on the day. Thomas Elness was right behind Esenmenger, notching a 42 on the day, while Dylan Pigman chipped in a 46 and Landon Johnson added a 44 for the Eagles.

Every Marshall boys’ golfer shot in the 30s. Max Deutz was the medalist, shooting a 36, while Matt Bennett added a 37 and Marcus Holmberg and Matt Christensen shot 38s for Marshall.

In girls’ action Kelsey Hanefeld led the way for the Eagles with a 41, while Megan Will added a 44, Maitland Vollan shot a 45 and Marissa Cartwright added a 48.

Hanefeld was the medalist on the day.

For Marshall, Jessica Blanchard shot a 43, Kirsten Webskowski and Hanna Peterson each shot 47s and Allie Pogatchinik shot a 55.

Windom will host Pipestone Area Monday at Windom Country Club.
