PREP BOYS' AND GIRLS' GIRL ROUNDUP: Cardinals golf sweep Dragons

LUVERNE — Luverne girls’ and boys’ golf squads defeated Adrian Monday, as the Cardinal boys won 156-194 and the Cardinal girls defeated the Dragons 197-234.

LUVERNE — Luverne girls’ and boys’ golf squads defeated Adrian Monday, as the Cardinal boys won 156-194 and the Cardinal girls defeated the Dragons 197-234.

Matthew Sterrett led all scorers on the boys’ side, shooting a 36, while Brandon Klein and Dylan Skattum each chipped in 39s and Mark Spreiter added a 42 for Luverne.

Ben Henning led Adrian with a 46, while Collin Kemper added a 48, Justin Elias shot a 49 and Ryan Elias chipped in a 51 for the Dragons.

On the girls’ side, Makayla Sterrett led all girls with a 45, while Alice Andersson shot a 49, Emilee Johnson shot a 51 and Kirsten Olson shot a 52 for Luverne.

Katie Wieneke led Adrian with a 54 to go along with Jade Elias’ 57, MacKenzie Wagner’s 58 and Sam Boyle’s 65.

Windom sweeps Pipestone Area

WINDOM — Windom’s boys’ golf team knocked off Pipestone Area Monday 159-173, while the Windom girls won by default.

Adam Eisenmenger was the medalist, shooting a 37 for Windom, while Thomas Elness added a 39, Dylan Pigman scored a 42 and Kyle Antes notched a 41 for Windom.

Brock Morgan led Pipestone Area with a 41, while Blake Olsen added a 42, A.J. Bucher scored a 44 and Connor Wacker shot a 46.
