ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

WORTHINGTON EVENT CENTER

BID PACKAGE ONE – SITE WORK

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Worthington, Minnesota, until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of City Hall by a bid opening committee. The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered publicly by the City Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 11, 2012 in Council Chambers, 303 9th St.

Following is a list of Contracts to be bid:

1. Site Excavation

2. Site Utilities

3. Asphalt Paving/Curb and Gutter

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash, money order or bid bond for at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Worthington, which amount shall be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him, shall fail to enter into the contract so let.

Bid documents as prepared by WCL Architects can be viewed at the offices of the City of Worthington; the office of the Construction Manager, Consolidated Construction Company, 4300 N. Richmond St., Appleton, WI 54913.; at the Sioux Falls, Plains, Mankato, Rochester, St. Cloud and Mid Minnesota Builder’s Exchanges; Reed Construction Data (CMD); and the McGraw Hill Construction Plan Room. Contractors desiring a copy of the Bid Documents may obtain them through the iSF plan service by contacting the Construction Manager: Shelly Klarner at 920-882-2508, or e-mail shellyk@consolidated-const.com.

Bidders desiring hard copies may obtain them by providing a refundable deposit of $100.00 per set, at the time of request. Said deposit will be refunded if bid documents are returned in useable condition within 15 days of the bid opening.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interests of the City.

All proposals must be addressed to City Clerk, City Hall, P. O. Box 279, Worthington, MN 56187, and shall be endorsed thereon "BID FOR THE WORTHINGTON EVENT CENTER".

Include the Contract number and description on the outside of the envelope.
