PREP BOYS AND GIRLS GOLF: Luverne sweeps golf meet with E/SWC and Red Rock Central

ADRIAN — Luverne swept a golf meet with Edgerton/Southwest Christian and Red Rock Central Thursday.

The Cardinal boys scored a 182, beating out E/SWC’s 193 and RRC’s 202.

LHS’s Dylan Skattum had the low score on the boys’ side, shooting a 44 to lead the Cardinals, while Matthew Sterrett, Mark Spreiter and Cole Walgrave each chipped in 46s for the Cardinals.

E/SWC was led by Trey Van Essen’s 46, while Monte DeKam added a 47, Klint Knutson scored a 48 and Tadd Van’t Hof shot a 52.

RRC was led by Jordan Smith’s 48.

On the girls’ side Luverne scored a 194 behind Kirsten Olson’s 47 and Alice Anderrson’s 48.

Led by 53s from Alison Kircher and Kylie Redinius, RRC scored a 222.

E/SWC was incomplete, but Emaleigh Vreeman took home medalist honors with a 42.

JCC sweeps Blue Earth

JACKSON — Kaylee Benson earned medalist honors for the 10th time this season, shooting a 40, while Emma Lilleberg and Lexie Hoffman chipped in 49s and Abby Brinkman added a 50 to lead Jackson County Central’s girls’ golf team over Blue Earth Area 188-205 Thursday.

In boys’ action, Joe Brinkman, Jack Ringkob and Kyle Edlin all tied for medalist honors with a 41, while John Marker added a 46 to lead the Huskie boys over Blue Earth Area 169-189.

MCC sweeps PA

SLAYTON — Murray County Central boys’ golf team defeated Pipestone Area 162-190 Thursday.

Devin Erickson earned medalist honors, shooting a 38 for MCC, while Ben Loosbrock hit a 40 and Adam Christensen and Devin Ryan each hit 42s for the Rebels.

Blake Olson and Zack Ploeger led the way for PA, shooting 46s, while Brock Morgan shot a 48 and Connor Wacker added a 50.

On the girls’ side, MCC won by default. The Rebels shot a 209 behind Hannah Davis’ 49, Chelsey Jurrens’ 50, Kirbie Tedrick’s 54 and Haleigh Clarke’s 56.
