In doubles’ action, Scott Nelson and Blake Ziegler won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles over Andrew Duttoux and Connor Hagenmeyer, Ethan Johnson and Nathan Stensland-Bos knocked off Nate Eisenmenger and Jae Lin 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles and Austin Stroeh and Matt Arends won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 doubles over Chris Sietsema and Austin Stager for the Cardinals.

“Everyone played well today,” LHS coach Greg Antoine said. “Sometimes it is hard to play someone when you have just beaten them pretty soundly a week ago.

“Again, our experience all the way down the lineup really shows up in matches like today. If we play up to our potential, we should make it to the finals (today) and should do really well.”

Luverne (16-2) will take on Yellow Medicine East today in Redwood Falls in the section semifinals.
