PREP BASEBALL: Red Rock Conference baseball honors announced

WORTHINGTON — Red Rock Conference baseball honors were awarded with Murray County Central, Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin and Red Rock Central/Westbrook Walnut Grove leading the way with four representatives from each team.
Nate Wieneke, Sam Erickson, Chris Halbur and Trent Carlson earned all-conference honors for MCC, while Beau Herrig, Kaleb Grev, Cody Penner and Carter Kirk represented ML/B-O and Dylan Bunting, Jacob Comnick, Daniel Maras and Taylor Vollmer were selected from RRC/W-WG.
Mitchell Sieve, Jake Diekmann and Jake Tiede made the squad from Adrian, as did Edgerton/Southwest Christian’s Blake Jouwstra and Dominic Nibbelink and Southwestern United’s Luke Henkels.
All-conference honorable mention went to Austin Christensen and Austin Kluis, of MCC, Blake Spinks and Matt Willaby, of ML/B-O, Logan Willhite, Henry Rogotzke and Brady Bierl, of RRC/W-WG, Damon Vander Maten and Derek Claar, of E/SWC, and Justin Jass and Aaron Fest, of SWU.
MCC took the Red Rock Conference with a 9-1 record, while ML/B-O and RRC/W-WG tied for second place, both sporting 6-4 records.
Adrian took third with a 4-6 record, while SWU and E/SWC rounded out the conference with records of 3-7 and 2-8, respectively, on the season.
