PREP SOFTBALL: RRC softball awards announced

WORTHINGTON — Red Rock Conference awards were announced for the softball season with Edgerton/Southwest Christian leading the way with five all-conference representatives and Murray County Central right behind the Flying Dutchmen with four players named to the all-conference squad. Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin and Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove fielded three representatives each on the all-conference squad.
Brittani Roskamp, Breana Van Dyke, Jessica Menning, Tanner Gunnink and Tara DeKam earned all-conference honors for E/SWC, while Makenzie Giese, Taylor Schreier, Kristi Bose and Jade Giese made the all-conference team from MCC.
ML/B-O’s McKenzie Hopwood, Brianna Wenner and Janessa Peters were awarded all-conference, as was RRC/W-WG’s Katie Dusek, Angie Hanneman and Klarissa Larsen. Connor DeWall and Ida Rogers-Ferguson, of SWU, and Adrian’s Rachel Kontz also earned all-conference honors.
Honorable mentions went to Sarah Post and Ciara Everett, of E/SWC, Courtney Blomgren and Kenda Blomgren, of MCC, Haley Hamilton and Paige Brown, of ML/B-O, Kendra Hagert, of RRC/W-WG, Janae Vonk and Kayla Droll, of SWU, and Jessi Meyer and Nina Weidert, of Adrian.
