Letters: Reader would have liked more on D-Day anniversary

Sixty-eight years ago Wednesday, the greatest naval armada in history landed several thousand allied troops on the beaches of Normandy. Many of these young men are still there.

On Wednesday morning, I found that the local newspaper was more concerned about the weather that might happen this weekend and have a bearing on the beer garden at the Regatta.

With all due respect, D-Day did a get a mention buried in “This Day in History.”
